AI literacy platform for teacher-led classroom discussion.
Overview
An AI literacy platform that allows students to question, understand, and shape the role of AI in the world around them.
Led content creation, research systems, and learning experience design, as well as created a new visual identity that translates OTA’s ideas about curiosity, understanding, and agency into a brand identity.
Brand Strategy
Visual identity, logo system, and brand guidelines.
Research Lead
User research, interview design, and insight development.
Learning Experience Design
Learning flows, discussion systems, and classroom experiences.
the Problem
Most AI education tools prioritize answers over thinking.
This reduces student participation, teacher control, and depth of discussion.
the learning JOurney
6 Quests → 6 Lessons each → 3 mini-games per lesson → 1 project built per Quest.
Each quest consists of 6 videos (1 per lesson), as well as 3 overall mini-games.
the design process
I established OTA's learning framework using research and learning design principles to define lesson goals, progression, and content guidelines. I applied a four-step design process to structure the student experience from initial curiosity through hands-on creation. Alex, OTA's AI learning companion, was integrated into this framework to support each stage: prompting questions at the start of lessons, facilitating reflection and debriefs, and encouraging students to think about meaningful change.
Students then apply what they've learned through projects, building and reimagining ideas related to each topic. This framework also gave student innovators a structured approach for researching and developing individual lessons around real-world AI topics.
Brand Strategy
As the curriculum and experience evolved, the visual identity needed to communicate the same ideas: curiosity, understanding, agency, and the ability to shape what comes next.
